Our MISSION is to EMPOWER, EDUCATE and RAISE AWARENESS of heart health, heart disease prevention, provide heart health education, integrate physical fitness/exercise/sport activities and encourage healthy lifestyle choices for young girls aged 10-18 and their families.
We promote physical activity, heart healthy eating and heart healthy lifestyle choices.
Our GOAL is to achieve improved heart health and increased education and awareness in young girls with a focus on heart disease prevention - no. 1 killer of women.

In the past 8 years, Heart N Hands has educated over 6,500 girls and their families and trained over 500 girls in Hands ONLY CPR (in partnership with the American Heart Association New Orleans).
In 2020 and beyond, during COVID-19, Heart N Hands hosted:
In 2020 and beyond, during COVID-19, Heart N Hands hosted:
- approximately 20 fitness/ wellness sessions to promote heart healthy activities. We provided the following physical fitness sessions: morning stretches, yoga, Zumba, mindfulness meditation, HIIT, low impact for the HEART and MORE!
- partnered with No Kid Hungry to create "Fruit Friday" - provided over 400 kids in need fresh fruit and heart health education along with their school lunch.
- provided fitness instruction and heart health education to over 100 Girls Scouts who earned our "new" Love Your Heart Patch. Thanks Girl Scouts Louisiana East!
- expanded our reach and started our first Affiliate Chapter in Nashville, Tennessee followed by Houston, Texas.
- hosted "Running for the HEART" 5K Run/Walk, our 1st Virtual & In-Person 5K.

We EMPOWER young girls to "take their heart health in their hands" by providing heart related information, educational tools and support needed to maintain and sustain a heart healthy lifestyle.

THE HEALTH OF YOUR HEART IS IN YOUR HANDS!!! Heart N Hands partners with several organizations with a focus on improving the health of our communities. We are partner with agencies such as American Heart Association, WomenHeart (National Coalition of Women with Heart Disease), Girl Scouts, Girls on the Run, Kendra Scott, Pink House, Links, Inc. and other nonprofit organizations to provide girls important heart health and wellness information.
We teach girls and their families how to "Love their Hearts."
